Installing the Data Lake Sync Portal

Data Lake Sync includes a web-based portal that is embedded within the Infor Portal, allowing authorized users to view and manage their sync configuration and activity.
What You Can Do in the Portal
The Data Lake Sync portal provides visibility and control over your data movement processes. Key features include:
Create and Maintain Source and Destination Connections
Source Connections: Create connections to Infor Data Lake instances
Destination Connections: Create connections to your destination systems where data is being delivered (e.g., SQL Server, Postgres).
Create and Maintain Schedules
Schedule Type: Configure sync tasks to run on a
Daily,Hourly, orMinutelybasis.Time Window: Configure the
Start TimeandEnd Timefor each job.Frequency Settings: Configure how often data is synced (e.g., every 30 minutes).
Days of the Week: Set which days the sync is active (e.g., weekdays only).
Monitor and Troubleshoot
Sync Job Monitoring: Track the status of each sync run, including success and failure events.
Log Access: View detailed log messages for troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
The following steps should be used to provision the Infor Data Lake portal on your Infor tenant.
Create SSO Connection
Data Lake Sync uses authentication via the Infor Single Sign on process to ensure your schedule information is secure.
2. Create a new Service Provider in Infor OS:
- Navigate to the OS application
- Navigate to the Security sub-application
- Open the 'burger' menu in the top left
- Expand 'Security Administration' and select 'Service Provider'
- Expand the Service Provider section and create a new Service Provider.
- Set the values as follows and save

3. Respond to the support ticket with the Identity Provider XML file.
- On the Service Provider from Step 2, select 'View' under the Identity Provider Information header.
- In the popup box, press the EXPORT SAML METADATA button. This will download an XML file.
- Reply to the email from step 1 with the XML file.
- The Data Lake Sync team will finalize the SSO configuration.
- The Data Lake Sync team will respond with an Application URL for use in the next steps.
Create Data Lake Sync Portal Application
To set up the Application in the Infor portal, do the following:
1. Set up Security Roles in Mingle
If using Mingle Portal v1
- Mingle Portal > User Management > Configure > Master Data Type > Security Roles
- Add New security role:
- Name: DATALAKESYNC-Admin
- Description: Admin for Data Lake Sync application
- Assign to New Users: No
If using Mingle Portal v2
- OS App > Security > Configure > Master Data Type > Security Roles
- Add New security role:
- Name: DATALAKESYNC-Admin
- Description: Admin for Data Lake Sync application
- Assign to New Users: No
Assign your own user and other admin users to the new Security Role.
2. Set up Mingle Application
If using Mingle Portal v1
- Mingle Portal > Admin Settings
- Add Application
- Application Type: Non-Infor
- Application Name: Data Lake Sync
- Application URL: <provided by Data Lake Sync support team in a previous step>
- Choose Icon:

- Application Help URL: <blank>
- Navigation Method: Same Screen
- Pass Parameters in the iframe URL: Yes
- Enable for Infor Go: No
- Save. Navigate to Permissions Tab
- Add new Security Role to application: DATALAKESYNC-Admin
If using Mingle Portal v2
- Mingle Portal v2 > OS Application > Portal
- Add Application
- Application Type: Non-Infor
- Application Name: Data Lake Sync
- Application URL: <provided by Data Lake Sync support team in a previous step>
- Choose Icon:

- Navigation Method: Same Screen
- Pass Parameters in the iframe URL: Yes
- Enable for Infor Go: No
- Logical ID: Leave the default value
- Save. Navigate to Permissions Tab
- Add Role to application: DATALAKESYNC-Admin
