Process Start Date
The Process Start Date dimension tracks the most recent modification dates for various key dimensions and entities within the data warehouse. It serves to identify the last time any changes occurred in these data areas, enabling informed decisions about data refresh and synchronization timing.
| Output Column | Database Logic | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Process Object | The source represents the name of the dimension or entity being checked for last modification. | This output indicates the name of the data domain or object, such as Account or Company, for which the last modification timestamp is captured. |
| Last Processed Datetime | This logic sets the last processed timestamp either to a default old date if a full data reload is requested or if no previous modification date exists, or formats the most recent modification datetime retrieved from the data levels. | This column represents the timestamp indicating when the data for the respective process object was last updated. If a full data reload is happening or if no update exists, it defaults to a base date far in the past. Otherwise, it shows the most recent modification date formatted to ISO standard, allowing for clear tracking of data currency. |
